Bio, References &Press

I have taught Improvisational Theater and Acting classes for over 20 years. As both a teacher and director, I have a passion for encouraging my students to explore their creativity and stretch their “imagination muscles.” I have worked with students ranging in age from 3-103 in dozens of schools, summer camps, senior centers, churches, synagogues, corporations and community centers in New York City, Westchester and Rockland county. I provide Creative Drama parties to children ages 3-13.  I am the director of the Dobbs Ferry Middle School and High School Drama Clubs and the Congregation Kol Ami Children and Adult Drama Club in White Plains, NY.

As a performer, I tour elementary schools with Kids On The Block, an educational puppet show about children with disabilities. I am also the Company Manager for Random Farm Kids touring production of “The New Kid.” ( “The New Kid” came to Ridgebury Elementary School in Ridgefield, CT, in April 2010 and was covered in the Ridgefield Patch. (See story here: http://patch.com/bkBTw ).

Prior to starting my own business, I worked at New York City Ballet in the Education Department, coordinating and leading lecture/demonstration programs throughout New York City and the tri-state area.

I hold a B.F.A. in Theater from Syracuse University and a Masters in Teaching from Manhattanville College, where I received an Academic Achievement Award upon graduation.

I live in Dobbs Ferry with my husband Jonathan, a successful Executive Coach, our two sons and our dog, Dustin.
